All Things Expressive Arts
Art Based Teaching
Expressive Arts is a multidisciplinary and multimodal approach that integrates various forms of creative expression, such as visual arts, music, dance, drama, and creative writing, to foster personal growth, healing, and self-discovery. It is often used in therapy, education, and community work to help individuals explore their emotions, experiences, and identities in a non-verbal and holistic way.
Unlike traditional art forms that focus on technical skills or aesthetics, Expressive Arts prioritize the process of creation rather than the final product. It encourages spontaneity, imagination, and deep emotional expression, making it an effective tool for mental health therapy, stress relief, and personal development.
Faith Based Expressive Arts
Faith Based Expressive Arts is designed to combine activities such as painting, music, dance, writing and so much more with the use of religious beliefs. Through this method, the goal is to use creative expression to find meaning, healing, and guidance to connect with God. Along with the use of prayer and scripture, students will also learn how to use art as a tool to express emotions, release burdens and find peace in the presence of God.
